President Ilham Aliyev Highlights Azerbaijan’s Contributions to D-8 Collaboration

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has highlighted the country’s active role in the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, emphasizing its efforts toward institutional development across economic, cultural, social, and humanitarian spheres. His remarks were delivered during his address to participants of the D-8 Media Forum on Fostering Dialogue, Collaboration, and Regional Cohesion.
“Since its membership in the D-8 family, Azerbaijan has made significant efforts toward institutional development. These efforts are reflected not only in economic collaboration but also in cultural, social, and humanitarian initiatives,” President Aliyev stated.
He further noted that within nearly a year of Azerbaijan’s acceptance into the D-8, the country successfully organized the first meeting of D-8 NGOs in Baku, as well as the D-8 High-Level Climate and Urban Dialogue held during D-8 Week. “Azerbaijan will continue to contribute actively to expanding cooperation within this institution,” the President added.
President Aliyev’s address underscored Azerbaijan’s commitment to fostering dialogue, strengthening regional collaboration, and supporting the objectives of the D-8 Organization across multiple sectors.
