President Ilham Aliyev Meets with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof in Copenhagen

Copenhagen, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a meeting with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Dick Schoof on the sidelines of the 7th European Political Community Summit in Copenhagen.
Prime Minister Schoof congratulated President Aliyev on the achievements reached in Washington regarding the advancement of the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan, stressing the importance of these developments for regional stability.
President Aliyev, expressing gratitude, underlined the significance of the Washington Declaration signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump. He emphasized that the document on normalization of relations between the two countries has laid the foundation for lasting peace in the region, noting that peace already exists between the two nations.
The leaders also discussed the role of Dutch companies successfully operating in Azerbaijan in sectors such as shipping, port construction, the electrical industry, agriculture, urban planning, and other areas. In addition, they reviewed prospects for further cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands within international organizations.
Prime Minister Schoof extended his congratulations on Azerbaijan’s successful hosting of COP29, noting that the event yielded significant outcomes for advancing the international climate agenda.
