Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Fuat Oktay on November 4.
Vice President Fuat Oktay conveyed the greetings of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to President Ilham Aliyev.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings and asked to convey his greetings to the President of Türkiye.
During the conversation, the importance of the Shusha Declaration was emphasized. The last visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to our country and his participation in the opening of important facilities in the cities of Zangilan and Jabrayil were noted with satisfaction.
Recalling the telephone conversation with Recep Tayyip Erdogan two days ago, President Ilham Aliyev assessed the start of electric car production in Turkey as the next success of the brotherly country’s industry.
In the meeting, the importance of the Zangezur corridor in terms of the development of transport relations was mentioned.
The importance of Azerbaijan’s investment of more than 20 billion dollars in the economy of Türkiye was specially emphasized, it was reported that the trade turnover has increased, and successful cooperation in the field of energy has been implemented. Touching on the issue of gas export, the importance of the Southern Gas Corridor was noted, the importance of expanding the export possibilities of this corridor was emphasized.
At the meeting, at the same time, views were exchanged on the prospects of cooperation in the fields of transport and trade.
President Ilham Aliyev said that he welcomes the planned visit of the Vice President of Türkiye to Shusha.
