President Mirziyoyev Bolsters Aid for Disabled Children at “Muruvvat” No.1

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: In a demonstration of Uzbekistan’s commitment to its citizens, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the “Muruvvat” No.1 boarding school for children with disabilities, reaffirming the nation’s dedication to social welfare and inclusivity.
Uzbekistan, rooted in the enduring values of its people, maintains a steadfast principle of honoring and upholding the dignity of every individual. Reflecting this ethos, government funding for “Muruvvat” homes has significantly increased over the past five years. This investment has seen a threefold rise, bolstering both staffing levels and the capacity of these vital institutions.
Last year marked a milestone with the establishment of the National Social Protection Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This agency serves as a cornerstone for delivering quality services and assistance to the population, overseeing “Muruvvat” homes, boarding houses, and rehabilitation centers.
In a remarkable display of support, 624 billion UZS were allocated from the state budget last year for the activities of these institutions, alongside increased funding for medicines and medical products. Moreover, a culture of collaboration and shared learning now thrives among “Muruvvat” homes, fostering the exchange of best practices and innovative educational methods.
President Mirziyoyev’s visit to the “Muruvvat” home in Tashkent underscored the transformative impact of government support. Extensive renovations and expansions have elevated the facility, with modern amenities and specialized equipment catering to the diverse needs of children with disabilities.
During his visit, President Mirziyoyev engaged warmly with the children, emphasizing the government’s unwavering commitment to further improving conditions and fostering the realization of each child’s potential. He expressed gratitude to the dedicated social service workers, recognizing their noble efforts in providing care and support to the children.
In line with the vision for enhanced support, “Muruvvat” homes will now be equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and operate under a new concept emphasizing individualized development programs. Additionally, the establishment of “Support Clubs” and “Care Groups” will provide crucial resources and guidance to guardians, empowering them in the care and integration of children with disabilities into society.
As part of ongoing improvements, the institution’s infrastructure has undergone comprehensive upgrades, including modernization of the boiler room and engineering networks, beautification of the surroundings with decorative trees, installation of street lighting, and paving of pathways.
President Mirziyoyev’s visit coincides with the onset of the blessed month of Ramadan, a time when the nation’s compassion and support for the vulnerable are amplified, reflecting the noble values deeply ingrained in Uzbek society.
The visit to “Muruvvat” No.1 serves as a poignant reminder of Uzbekistan’s unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive and compassionate society, where every individual is valued and supported in realizing their full potential.
