President Mirziyoyev Reviews Plans for International Tourist Center in Bostanlyk District

Bostanlyk District

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has reviewed plans for the construction of an international tourist center in Bostanlyk district, Tashkent region, which promises to further enhance Uzbekistan’s rapidly growing tourism sector.

The Bostanlyk district, renowned for its stunning natural landscapes including the Charvak reservoir, rivers, snowy mountains, and lush forests, has long been a prime destination for recreation year-round. The expansion of Uzbekistan’s international ties and infrastructure has amplified the district’s appeal as a global tourist hotspot.

Development of Bostanlyk’s Tourism Potential
Recent years have seen substantial state support fostering the development of tourism infrastructure in the district. Projects such as the Amirsay and Beldersay-Chimgan-Nanay resorts have emerged, and over the past five years, more than 2 trillion UZS in investments have been poured into Bostanlyk. This has resulted in the establishment of 59 new tourist facilities, offering a combined 13,000 beds.

These advancements have drawn significant attention from foreign investors, paving the way for ambitious projects. Among them is the proposal for the “Sea Breeze Uzbekistan” international tourist center, spearheaded by Azerbaijani entrepreneur Emin Agalarov and other major investment companies.

“Sea Breeze Uzbekistan”: A New Tourism Hub
Planned to be built along the Charvak reservoir’s shores, the “Sea Breeze Uzbekistan” center will feature state-of-the-art recreational facilities, including beaches, sports arenas, hotels, cottages, and residential complexes. The project also includes international retail outlets, restaurants, and service points, alongside provisions for festivals, concerts, and cultural events. To enhance visitor convenience, a bridge across the bay is also part of the plan.

This ambitious development aims to create a year-round tourist hub, combining luxury, entertainment, and residential options to attract both domestic and international visitors.

Presidential Support and Strategic Planning
President Mirziyoyev expressed his strong support for the initiative and emphasized the importance of leveraging advanced international expertise in the design and phased construction of the center. He directed the formation of a commission led by the Prime Minister to oversee the project, develop the necessary legal framework, and address associated infrastructure challenges.

This initiative is expected to cement Bostanlyk district’s status as a key player in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector while contributing to the country’s broader economic growth.
