President Nicușor Dan Begins Two-Day Official Visit to France

Paris, The Gulf Observer: Romania’s President Nicușor Dan arrived in France on Monday evening for a two-day official visit aimed at enhancing bilateral relations, expanding economic cooperation, and strengthening ties with Romania’s diaspora community, according to official sources.
The visit began with an event at the Romanian Embassy in Paris, where President Dan is scheduled to meet and address members of the Romanian community — one of the largest Romanian diasporas in Western Europe. His remarks are expected to focus on national unity, cultural identity, and Romania’s strategic partnership with France.
On Tuesday, December 9, President Dan will meet representatives of leading French companies during a session hosted by the French employers’ organisation Medef. Discussions are set to centre on investment opportunities, trade expansion, and cooperation in high-value sectors.
Later in the day, the Romanian head of state will meet Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo and take part in the inauguration of the “Nicolae Titulescu Alley” in Parc Monceau, a symbolic tribute to the renowned Romanian diplomat and statesman. President Dan will then proceed to the Élysée Palace for talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, with the agenda expected to cover bilateral cooperation, European affairs, and shared strategic priorities.
The visit will conclude with a tour of a manufacturing facility operated by Thales, the global technology and defence group. The stop underscores Romania’s interest in deepening collaboration with France in defence, aerospace, cyber capabilities, and advanced technologies.
According to the official programme, President Dan’s engagements underscore Romania’s broader effort to advance diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties with France while strengthening connections with its diaspora and promoting greater French involvement in key Romanian industries.
