President of BRISD Meets with SCO Secretary-General in Azerbaijan

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Mr. Qaiser Nawab, President of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), held a brief meeting with His Excellency Mr. Zhang Ming, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), in Baku, Azerbaijan. The meeting served as a platform for fostering collaboration between BRISD and SCO towards advancing sustainable development goals in the region.

During the meeting, Secretary-General Zhang Ming expressed appreciation for the impactful work carried out by BRISD and acknowledged the active involvement of youth in driving sustainable development initiatives. In addition, Secretary-General Zhang Ming extended his best wishes to Pakistan for the upcoming elections scheduled for February 8th, 2024, emphasizing the importance of democratic processes in fostering regional stability.

Secretary-General Zhang Ming highlighted the integral role of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in boosting the economies of SCO countries, recognizing its significant contributions to economic growth and development.
