President of Pakistan Receives Speakers of Azerbaijani and Turkish Parliaments

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari met with Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and Speaker of Türkiye’s Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmuş on the sidelines of the 3rd Trilateral Meeting of the Speakers of the Parliaments of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye in Islamabad.

The discussions centered on ways to further strengthen relations among the three brotherly nations, with a particular focus on enhancing interparliamentary cooperation. The participants underscored that close political dialogue and successful collaboration have played a key role in bringing their nations and peoples closer together.

Highlighting the constructive impact of parliamentary diplomacy on fostering friendship and fraternity among the countries, the sides emphasized the continued importance of the trilateral cooperation mechanism among the parliamentary leaders of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye. They also commended the effective coordination among the legislative bodies within international parliamentary organizations.

The meeting lauded the current high level of bilateral and trilateral cooperation among the three nations and acknowledged the significant contributions of their parliaments in advancing mutual understanding and shared objectives.

The sides also exchanged views on a range of issues of mutual interest, reaffirming their commitment to further deepen collaboration in the political, economic, and cultural spheres.
