Samarkand, The Gulf Observer: In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity and shared heritage, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, planted an oak tree together in the Alley of Honorary Guests at the Samarkand Congress Center.

The symbolic planting ceremony celebrated the centuries-old ties of friendship and brotherhood between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, reaffirming both nations’ unwavering dedication to peace, good neighborliness, and a deepening strategic partnership.

Set against the historical and cultural backdrop of Samarkand, a city long emblematic of unity along the Silk Road, the oak tree planting served as a living monument to the enduring bond and growing cooperation between the two countries.
