President of Uzbekistan Receives Russian Delegation to Discuss Key Bilateral Projects

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a high-level delegation from the Russian Federation, which included Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev, Aide to the President of Russia Igor Levitin, and Chairman of the Board of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov. The delegation conveyed greetings and well wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the practical implementation of agreements reached during the summit meetings held in Tashkent from May 26-28, 2024. Key issues included the development of regional transport corridors, with particular emphasis on coordinating measures to enhance connectivity and logistics.

The talks highlighted the need to accelerate industrial cooperation in the transport sector, with a focus on expanding partnerships in automobile, rail, and air transport. Both sides also stressed the importance of training highly qualified engineering personnel to support these efforts.

The meeting underlined the shared commitment of Uzbekistan and Russia to further strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing regional cooperation through strategic infrastructure projects.
