President Pezeshkian Highlights Achievements in Line with National Unity Agenda

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian highlighted his administration’s achievements, including the formation of the cabinet, the appointment of governor generals, and the timely submission of the next year’s budget bill to parliament, during his second televised interview on Monday night. These steps, he emphasized, align with the government’s slogan of national unity.

President Pezeshkian noted that addressing pressing challenges, such as debts to wheat farmers, nurses, and retirees, was a top priority for his administration. “We handled these issues in the best possible way,” he stated.

The President underscored the inclusive approach taken in forming the cabinet, involving over 400 individuals and various committees. “Our first task was to form the cabinet based on the national unity slogan, and it received full confidence from the Iranian parliament,” he said.

Following the cabinet formation, ministers were instructed to develop operational plans for various sectors, guided by the mandates of the 20-Year Vision Document and the General Policies set by the Supreme Leader. Each part of these plans was assigned to specific individuals to ensure accountability and implementation.

Despite tight deadlines, President Pezeshkian praised the round-the-clock efforts of experts from the Planning and Budget Organization and the government, which enabled the timely preparation and submission of the budget bill to parliament.

In line with the national unity slogan, President Pezeshkian emphasized the appointment of local governors in several provinces, including Kurdistan, Khuzestan, and Sistan-and-Baluchestan. He highlighted a historic milestone in Kurdistan Province, where a Kurdish Sunni individual was appointed as governor general for the first time. “Qualified individuals, regardless of ethnicity or religion, have been chosen to uphold the principles of inclusivity and unity,” he remarked.

The President’s remarks reflect his administration’s commitment to fostering inclusivity, strengthening governance, and addressing pressing socio-economic challenges in pursuit of national cohesion.
