President Pezeshkian Highlights Progress in Solar Power Expansion

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Masoud Pezeshkian has announced that Iran has installed more than 1,000 megawatts of solar panels since the beginning of his administration over a year ago, marking a significant step toward the country’s renewable energy goals.
Speaking at the National Industry and Mining Day ceremony in Tehran on Tuesday, the president emphasized the government’s target of generating at least 7,000 megawatts of electricity from solar power in the coming years.
Pezeshkian urged domestic companies and financial institutions to play an active role in accelerating the development of the renewable energy sector.
“Without energy, development is meaningless,” he stated. “We must move toward clean energy.”
The announcement underscores Iran’s commitment to diversifying its energy mix and advancing sustainable development through greater reliance on renewable sources.
