President Pezeshkian Pays Tribute to Families of Late President Raisi and Companions

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: On the eve of the first anniversary of the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of President Ebrahim Raisi and several senior officials, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian visited the families of the deceased at their homes and held heartfelt discussions with them.
During the visits, President Pezeshkian expressed his deep respect and solidarity with the bereaved families, emphasizing the nation’s enduring gratitude for the late president’s service and sacrifices. The family of the late President Raisi conveyed their appreciation to President Pezeshkian for his gesture in honoring the memory of their loved one and his companions.
President Raisi, along with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and six other officials, tragically lost their lives when their helicopter crashed in the mountainous region on May 19, 2024. The accident sent shockwaves across the nation and drew widespread mourning both domestically and internationally.
President Raisi was laid to rest at the revered Shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in the northeastern city of Mashhad, a site of great spiritual significance to the Iranian people.
The commemorative visit by President Pezeshkian underscores the continued national remembrance of the fallen leaders and their dedication to the Islamic Republic.
