President Pezeshkian Urges U.S. and Europe to Demonstrate Sincerity to Restore Iran’s Trust

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called on the United States and European countries to prove their sincerity through concrete actions in order to regain Iran’s trust and rebuild constructive engagement.
In a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday, President Pezeshkian emphasized that while the Islamic Republic of Iran has always welcomed dialogue and constructive interaction, it is now incumbent upon Western nations to respect Iran’s legitimate rights and avoid imposing unilateral demands.
During the exchange, President Macron expressed appreciation for Iran’s efforts to address obstacles and uphold commitments made in prior discussions. He underscored the importance of maintaining ongoing dialogue to foster transparency and trust, which, he said, could pave the way for a comprehensive agreement, the expansion of bilateral relations, and the lifting of anti-Iran sanctions.
Reaffirming Iran’s consistent stance on its nuclear policy, President Pezeshkian stated that, in accordance with the fatwa of the Supreme Leader and Iran’s national security doctrine, the country has no intention of developing nuclear weapons. He, however, criticized the persistent political and economic pressures placed on Iran under what he described as unfounded and biased allegations concerning nuclear armament.
President Pezeshkian stressed that Iran’s principled approach remains grounded in logic, diplomacy, and peaceful dialogue to resolve misunderstandings. He warned that resorting to coercion and threats only serves to deepen mistrust and division.
“It is not Iran that needs to prove its sincerity,” President Pezeshkian asserted. “Rather, it is the United States and Europe that must take credible steps to earn Iran’s confidence through their actions, not mere statements.”
The conversation marked the latest in a series of diplomatic engagements by the Iranian president aimed at reviving constructive relations with European partners and promoting stability through dialogue.
