President Prabowo to Welcome Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba in Bogor
Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: President Prabowo Subianto is set to receive Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba at the Bogor Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, as part of Ishiba’s two-day official visit to Indonesia.
According to a statement issued by the Presidential Secretariat on Friday, Prime Minister Ishiba, accompanied by his wife, Yoshiko Ishiba, arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, at 5 p.m. local time on Friday. The Japanese leader was greeted by several dignitaries, including Indonesian Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani, Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Masaki Yasushi, Indonesian Ambassador to Japan Heri Akhmadi, and Banten Acting Governor Ucok Damenta.
A ceremonial reception featuring a guard of honor, a marching band, and traditional dancers was held to mark the Japanese Prime Minister’s arrival.
