President Prabowo Urges Leaders to Serve People with Integrity and Responsibility

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: President Prabowo Subianto has called on government leaders at all levels, as well as executives of state-owned enterprises (SOEs), to remain steadfast in carrying out their mandates while continuing to prioritize the welfare of the people.
The remarks were made during the Great Harvest Festival and Food Self-Sufficiency Announcement event held on Wednesday in Karawang, West Java.
“Leaders, officials, governors, district heads, and presidents of state-owned enterprises should not be afraid or hesitant. My officials and ministers must not let this honor make them negligent. Fight for the people,” President Prabowo said.
He emphasized that the honor and trust bestowed by the state must never lead officials to complacency. According to the President, every mandate must be executed responsibly, with a focus on serving the people and demonstrating sincere devotion to public service.
President Prabowo noted that true leadership is defined not by position or power, but by the legacy left behind and the public’s assessment of one’s service. “A leader will be remembered positively if, during their tenure, they defend the people, uphold justice, and protect the weak and the poor,” he said.
Conversely, he warned that leadership abused for personal gain will leave a negative imprint in the eyes of the public.
He also urged officials to be grateful for the trust placed in them, viewing it as an opportunity to serve the nation with dedication and excellence.
“Sometimes, truth and justice can only be realized through courageous and honest leadership,” the President added, underscoring the need for integrity and bravery in public service.
