President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Raises UAE Flag at Qasr Al Hosn to Mark Flag Day

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan raised the UAE national flag at Qasr Al Hosn in Abu Dhabi on Monday to mark Flag Day, a national occasion celebrating the values of loyalty, unity, and pride in the country’s identity and heritage.

The ceremony began with the playing of the UAE national anthem and was attended by a group of retired Emirati service personnel in recognition of their lasting contributions to the nation’s development. Their presence symbolized the UAE’s appreciation for their decades of dedicated service in advancing the country’s achievements and supporting its continued progress.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed emphasized that raising the UAE flag on Flag Day represents a powerful symbol of national pride and unity. He noted that the participation of retired service members who had contributed to the UAE’s growth reflects the enduring spirit of loyalty and dedication demonstrated by generations of Emiratis.

The President further underscored the steadfast commitment of the Emirati people, who continue to serve their nation with devotion and collective responsibility, ensuring that the UAE flag remains a beacon of progress and dignity.

Earlier, His Highness welcomed the retired service personnel at Qasr Al Bateen, where they expressed their pride in meeting him and gratitude for being part of such a meaningful national event.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed accompanied the group from Qasr Al Bateen to Qasr Al Hosn, recalling shared moments and reaffirming the UAE’s unwavering commitment to its people. He highlighted that the knowledge and experience of retired Emiratis constitute a valuable national asset, one that supports the nation’s advancement, inspires future generations, and perpetuates the values of loyalty, belonging, and service to the homeland.
