President Tokayev Calls for Stronger Parliamentary Dialogue with Estonia

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has called for strengthening parliamentary dialogue between Kazakhstan and Estonia during talks with Estonian President Alar Karis at the Akorda Presidential Palace.
Praising Estonia’s achievements in governance and innovation, President Tokayev described the Baltic nation as “a leader and a very successful country in digital governance,” highlighting its transformation into a digital state marked by openness, transparency, efficiency and strong citizen engagement.
“The recent accomplishments of Estonia in building a truly innovative and prosperous state are quite impressive and highly significant,” Tokayev said. “Estonia serves as an excellent example of a digital state, a digital government and a digital society.”
The Kazakh President also underscored Estonia’s adherence to the rule of law, its progress in education and its dedication to sustainable development.
Addressing Estonia’s growing influence, Tokayev noted: “Your dynamically developing nation has a strong voice on the European stage and is committed to advancing peace, innovation and the collective progress of humanity.”
He added that Kazakhstan and Estonia have built a strong and broad-based partnership across multiple sectors, with positive momentum shaping bilateral ties. Tokayev emphasized the importance of open and productive political dialogue and called for closer engagement between parliamentary groups to deepen mutual understanding.
“We also value Estonia’s consistent support for Kazakhstan’s reform agenda,” the President said, reaffirming Astana’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation with Tallinn across political, economic and social spheres.
