President Tokayev Discusses Key Bilateral and Global Issues with German Chancellor Scholz
Astana, The Gulf Observer: During a private meeting at the Akorda Presidential Palace, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev revealed the key topics discussed with German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz on his first official visit to Kazakhstan. Tokayev emphasized the significance of the visit, stating that it would elevate the multifaceted partnership between Kazakhstan and Germany to new heights, rooted in mutual trust and strong friendship.
The discussions, held in a small format, focused on deepening bilateral relations, with a particular emphasis on trade, economic collaboration, and investment. Both leaders agreed to enhance integration in these areas, reinforcing their strategic partnership.
The meeting also addressed pressing global issues, including geopolitical tensions, global security, regional development, and climate change. President Tokayev noted that their exchange of views on these matters, alongside their shared involvement in international organizations, would further strengthen cooperation.
The extended talks are expected to bolster ties between the two nations, with Chancellor Scholz scheduled to participate in the upcoming “Central Asia + Germany” summit. This summit will focus on strategic cooperation in trade, economic interaction, and joint investment projects, marking another step forward in Kazakhstan-Germany relations.
