President Tokayev, European Council President Costa Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a phone conversation with President of the European Council António Costa at the latter’s initiative, the Akorda press service reported.

During the discussion, both leaders reviewed key issues and prospects for strengthening Kazakhstan-EU relations, emphasizing cooperation in trade, investment, energy, transport and logistics, sustainable development, and digital transformation.

President Tokayev highlighted the positive dynamics of bilateral ties, particularly under the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA), which has facilitated growing engagement between Kazakhstan and the EU.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued dialogue and practical collaboration across a broad range of bilateral and regional issues.

At the conclusion of the conversation, President Tokayev extended an invitation to António Costa to visit Kazakhstan.
