President Tokayev Joins Clean-Up Campaign in Kazakh Capital
Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev actively participated in a community clean-up event held in one of the districts of the Kazakh capital on Saturday morning, as part of the nationwide Taza Qazaqstan campaign, as reported by the Kazinform News Agency citing the Akorda press service.
The clean-up effort saw the involvement of volunteers, youth, participants of the upcoming 5th World Nomad Games, and members of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve. Notably, the initiative also included the planting of 430 seedlings of linden trees to enhance greenery in the area.
President Tokayev engaged with participants of the campaign, emphasizing the imperative of fostering a conscientious attitude towards the environment and nature. He reiterated that the Taza Qazaqstan campaign is not merely a one-time event but a sustained commitment to environmental stewardship and civic responsibility.
Highlighting the importance of maintaining cleanliness and beauty across Kazakhstan, President Tokayev emphasized that a clean environment is essential for attracting guests and investors to the country. He urged all citizens to uphold law and order and combat vandalism, stressing the need for collective pride in Kazakhstan and diligent care for its landscapes and communities.
During the event, President Tokayev also visited the Botanical Garden, expressing gratitude to residents who actively participated in the Taza Qazaqstan campaign. His hands-on involvement underscores the government’s dedication to promoting environmental sustainability and fostering a sense of civic duty among the populace.
