President Tokayev Reviews Kazakhstan’s Readiness for 2024 Paris Olympics
Astana, The Gulf Observer: Ermek Marzhikpaev, the Minister of Sports and Tourism, reported to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the country’s preparations for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics, as stated by the Akorda press service.
During the briefing, President Tokayev was apprised of the comprehensive preparations for the 33rd Summer Olympics in Paris and the achievements of Kazakhstani athletes in qualification events.
Minister Marzhikpaev detailed that Kazakhstan has secured 92 berths across 25 sports for the Paris Olympics, with 80 athletes expected to represent the nation.
The report also covered the pre-Olympics training camps for national teams and the various measures implemented to support Kazakhstani athletes as they prepare for the Games.
President Tokayev emphasized the significant responsibility that athletes bear when participating in the Olympic Games. He highlighted the importance of the national team embodying high moral values, endurance, and professionalism, setting a strong example for the nation.
