President Xi Calls for Unity and Opposition to External Interference at SCO Meeting

Shanghai, The Gulf Observer: Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of unity among the members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the need to jointly oppose external interference during the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO on Thursday.

Addressing the real challenges of interference and division, President Xi called on SCO members to consolidate their unity. “The SCO members should firmly support each other, accommodate each other’s concerns, handle internal differences with a spirit of harmony, and resolve cooperation difficulties by seeking common ground while reserving differences,” he said.

President Xi underscored the necessity for SCO countries to firmly grasp their destiny and the peace and development of the region in their own hands. His remarks highlight China’s commitment to fostering a collaborative and self-determined approach to regional security and development.
