In his message, President Xi highlighted the geographical proximity of China and Japan, stating, “China and Japan are neighbors separated by a strip of water.” He underscored that maintaining peaceful coexistence, lasting friendship, and mutually beneficial cooperation is in the fundamental interests of both peoples.
