President Xi Emphasizes Deepening Reform to Advance Chinese Modernization

Jinan, The Gulf Observer: On Thursday, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the need for further deepening reforms across all sectors, with a focus on advancing Chinese modernization. President Xi, who also serves as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, made these remarks while chairing a symposium in Jinan, Shandong Province. The event was attended by representatives from the business community and academia.
During the symposium, nine representatives presented their opinions and suggestions on deepening reform. The topics discussed included developing venture capital investment, upgrading traditional industries, improving the corporate governance of private enterprises, and optimizing the business environment for foreign enterprises.
“Reform is the driving force for development,” Xi stated. He underscored that to deepen reform comprehensively, efforts must be directed towards the overarching goals of enhancing and developing the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and modernizing China’s governance system and capacity.
President Xi stressed the importance of taking decisive actions to eliminate ideological and institutional barriers that hinder the progress of Chinese modernization. He called for intensified efforts to address deep-seated institutional challenges and structural issues, ensuring that China continues to move forward on its path to modernization.
