President Xi Sends Congratulatory Letter to SCO Green Development Forum

Qingdao, The Gulf Observer: On Monday, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the Green Development Forum of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Countries, which opened in the coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong Province.

In his letter, President Xi emphasized the shared commitment of SCO countries to environmental protection and green development. He highlighted China’s dedication to the principle that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.” Xi noted that China has consistently pursued a development model that integrates improved production, higher living standards, and healthy ecosystems, resulting in significant achievements in creating a beautiful China.

President Xi expressed China’s hope to enhance communication and cooperation in green development with all parties through the forum. He underscored the importance of such collaboration in fostering sustainable economic and social development and promoting harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

Describing the SCO as a model for a new type of international relations and regional cooperation, President Xi highlighted China’s recent assumption of the rotating presidency of the organization. He reaffirmed China’s readiness to work with all member states to uphold the Shanghai Spirit, strengthen unity and coordination, promote green development, and write a new chapter of common development. Xi also emphasized the goal of jointly building an even closer SCO community with a shared future.
