Presidents of Iran and Azerbaijan Discuss Humanitarian Support in Phone Call

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on April 2 held a telephone conversation with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and bilateral humanitarian cooperation.
During the call, President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude for the humanitarian assistance extended by Azerbaijan to Iran, acknowledging the timely support provided amid ongoing challenges.
President Ilham Aliyev reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s continued commitment to humanitarian aid, noting that the next shipment is expected to be dispatched in the near future.
The Azerbaijani president also conveyed deep concern over the escalating situation in Iran and expressed condolences over the loss of lives, praying for mercy for those affected.
Both leaders underscored the urgent need to achieve peace and stability in the region, with President Aliyev expressing hope for a swift resolution to the ongoing confrontation.
