Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia Discuss Strategic Partnership in Phone Call

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation today to discuss the further development and strengthening of bilateral relations within the framework of a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.

The leaders reviewed the outcomes of the practical implementation of agreements reached during President Putin’s state visit to Uzbekistan in May last year. The discussion focused on the execution of the roadmap approved by both heads of state, underscoring their commitment to deepening cooperation across various sectors.

Both presidents commended the ongoing productive exchanges at different levels and emphasized the importance of sustaining positive momentum in trade, economic, and investment collaboration. Special attention was given to supporting industrial cooperation projects in the regions of both countries to enhance economic ties.

The conversation also highlighted the expanding humanitarian partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia. The leaders expressed satisfaction with the increasing collaboration in culture, arts, science, and education, particularly in training engineering personnel, as well as in healthcare and sports.

In addition to bilateral matters, Mirziyoyev and Putin exchanged views on key international issues and discussed the schedule of upcoming events in the framework of Uzbek-Russian cooperation.

This latest dialogue reaffirms the strong and dynamic relations between Uzbekistan and Russia, aimed at fostering mutual growth and regional stability.
