Presidents of Uzbekistan, Belarus discuss bilateral relations
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The issues of accelerating joint cooperation projects and ensuring the dynamics of trade relations were considered during a telephone conversation between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Thursday.
At the beginning of the conversation, the President of Belarus sincerely congratulated on the successful holding of the referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which took place on 30 April 2023.
The Presidents noted with satisfaction the consistent development of the Uzbek-Belarusian cooperation.
A set of bilateral events is being held within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The volume of mutual trade and the number of joint ventures are growing.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of timely implementation of joint projects of industrial cooperation in mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, electrical engineering and other industries on the basis of the adopted “road map”.
To speed them up, the importance of holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and continuing active interregional exchanges was noted.
