Presidents of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan discuss bilateral agenda of agreements
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Issues of implementing agreements at the highest level and the progress of promoting major cooperation projects were discussed during a telephone conversation between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on May 1.
The President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sincerely congratulated on the successful holding of the referendum on introducing amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held on April 30 this year.
In turn, the President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated the Leader and the fraternal people of Kazakhstan on the state holiday – Unity Day.
During the conversation, the main attention was paid to the timely implementation of the decisions of the heads of state, primarily the preparation and implementation of cooperation programs in priority sectors.
In this regard, the governments were instructed to take measures to accelerate joint projects during the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, to be held this week in Tashkent.
The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan also considered the schedule of the upcoming events.
