Presidium of 14th National People’s Congress Holds Third Meeting
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: The presidium of the second session of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC), China’s national legislature, convened its third meeting on Sunday, under the chairmanship of Zhao Leji, the executive chairman of the presidium.
During the meeting, pivotal decisions were made to advance legislative matters. The presidium resolved to present the draft revision to the Organic Law of the State Council to the broader NPC session for voting, signaling a commitment to enhance and refine the governance structure.
Additionally, the meeting endorsed the submission of three significant documents to the NPC session for meticulous consideration. These documents encompass draft resolutions pertaining to the work reports of the NPC Standing Committee, the Supreme People’s Court, and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate. The thorough deliberation of these reports underscores the meticulous scrutiny applied to the functioning of key pillars of the Chinese legal and judicial system.
Furthermore, the presidium engaged in a comprehensive examination and approval of a report addressing proposals presented by NPC deputies throughout the session.
