Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the sidelines of the ‘One Water Summit’ in Riyadh on Tuesday, where they reaffirmed their commitment to bolstering economic, trade, and investment ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

In their fifth meeting in six months, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed satisfaction with the frequent high-level interactions, describing them as a reflection of the deep respect and affection between the two nations. “The strengthening of cooperation between our two countries is crucial for Pakistan’s economic development and prosperity,” he remarked.

Both leaders reviewed the progress of ongoing agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) focused on Saudi investments in Pakistan. They expressed optimism about the implementation of these initiatives and emphasized their importance in fostering economic growth and development.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his gratitude to the crown prince for Saudi Arabia’s unwavering support for Pakistan and conveyed his best wishes to the Saudi leadership and people. He also invited the crown prince to visit Pakistan, an invitation that was warmly accepted.

The discussion extended to regional and international issues of mutual interest, with both sides pledging closer collaboration to address shared challenges.

The meeting underscores the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which continues to grow through regular dialogue and shared commitments to mutual prosperity.
