Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in Doha to Strengthen Pakistan-Qatar Relations

Doha, The Gulf Observer: Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha on Wednesday for a two-day official visit at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, with the aim of further deepening bilateral ties. He was welcomed at the airport by Qatari Minister of State Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Pakistan’s ambassador, and diplomatic staff, according to the PM Office Media Wing.

Accompanied by federal ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Mohammad Aurangzeb, Jam Kamal Khan, and Attaullah Tarar, Prime Minister Sharif expressed anticipation for constructive discussions with the Qatari leadership to advance “brotherly relations” between the two countries, he shared on social media platform X.

During his stay, Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to meet with both the Qatari emir and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. These high-level talks will focus on reviewing existing cooperation and exploring new avenues, particularly in trade and investment. Delegations from the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA) will also meet with the prime minister to discuss potential investment opportunities in Pakistan.

In addition to diplomatic engagements, Prime Minister Sharif will inaugurate the cultural exhibition Manzar: Art and Architecture in Pakistan from 1940 to Present on October 31, highlighting Pakistan’s rich cultural and architectural heritage and the enduring connections between the people of Pakistan and Qatar.
