Tehran, The Gulf Observer: In a recent telephone conversation, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Bagheri Kani, assessed the progress of relations between Tehran and Moscow as moving in the right direction and at an appropriate pace. During the call with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, they discussed the latest status of bilateral cooperation and regional issues.

Bagheri Kani highlighted recent developments in cooperation between Iran and Russia, notably the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the transfer of Russian gas to Iran. He also referenced a telephone conversation between the Acting President of Iran and Russian President Vladimir Putin, affirming that the advancement of bilateral relations is proceeding positively.

He expressed optimism that the administrative and legal formalities necessary to finalize key documents, including the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement and cooperation agreements in the fields of gas and transit, will be completed swiftly.

This dialogue underscores the strengthening of ties between Iran and Russia, paving the way for enhanced collaboration across various sectors.
