Qatar and Australia Prime Ministers Forge Stronger Ties

Canberra, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, met with Australian Prime Minister His Excellency Anthony Albanese in Canberra on Thursday. The meeting focused on strengthening the bilateral relations between Qatar and Australia, with discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in various sectors including the economy, energy, aviation, and mutual investment.

Both leaders reviewed the current state of their cooperation and explored new avenues to bolster their partnership. Additionally, they addressed pressing international issues, notably the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories. The discussions included an update on mediation efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire agreement and advancing the release of prisoners and detainees.

During the meeting, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani expressed Qatar’s appreciation for Australia’s supportive stance in regional and international efforts dedicated to achieving peace and stability.
