Qatar and Norway Discuss International Cooperation

Oslo, The Gulf Observer: The Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, met with Norway’s Minister for International Development, H.E. Anne Beathe Tvinnereim, in Oslo yesterday.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between Qatar and Norway, particularly in the field of development. Both ministers engaged in discussions about the current situations in the Gaza Strip, the occupied Palestinian territories, and Afghanistan.

Minister Al Khater expressed Qatar’s appreciation for Norway’s recognition of the State of Palestine, acknowledging it as a significant step towards achieving peace in the region. This recognition aligns with Qatar’s ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian cause and promote stability in the Middle East.

The meeting was also attended by H.E. Nadya bint Ahmad Al Sheebi, Ambassador of Qatar to Sweden, highlighting the importance of diplomatic engagement in fostering international partnerships.

This high-level meeting underscores the commitment of both nations to collaborate on development initiatives and address pressing global issues, reinforcing the strong ties between Qatar and Norway.
