Qatar, Italy Leaders Emphasize De-escalation and Stronger Bilateral Cooperation

Doha, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, and Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Giorgia Meloni held a high-level meeting on Saturday at Lusail Palace, where they discussed pressing regional and international developments.
During the meeting, both leaders underscored the urgent need to de-escalate tensions and emphasized the importance of political dialogue and diplomatic solutions as the most effective means to address the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. They highlighted the broader implications of the crisis, particularly its impact on global energy markets and supply chains, stressing the need to safeguard regional energy security.
According to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the discussions also covered bilateral relations between Qatar and Italy. The two sides explored avenues to further strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on enhancing economic and energy partnerships.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both nations to advancing constructive dialogue and fostering mutually beneficial collaboration in the face of evolving global challenges.
