Qatar participates in Arab Monetary Fund meeting

Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Minister of Finance H E Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari presided over the meeting of the Board of Governors of the Arab Monetary Fund for Economic and Social Development, which took place in Rabat in the Kingdom of Morocco. The session discussed the developments and activities of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development during 2022, as well as its achievements in supporting development in Arab states for which the Fund was established to set forth comprehensive and solid economic development.
The Minister also participated in the opening session of the Arab Monetary Fund’s Joint annual meetings of financial authorities and the 14th meeting of the Arab Finance Ministers Council.
The ministers discussed enhancing the role of the state in supporting the private sector’s role in economic growth, in addition to several topics and working papers, including: “Issues of improving the performance of government institutions and companies” submitted by the International Monetary Fund, and “Sustainability of debt to face exposure to shocks” submitted by the Arab Monetary Fund.
