Qatar University health students initiated into interprofessional education framework
Doha, The Gulf Observer: Qatar University hosted a significant Interprofessional Education (IPE) introductory event, marked by a dynamic session titled “Introducing IPE: Roles and Responsibilities” for first-year students at QU Health.
This transformative initiative brought together 329 students from diverse health professions, laying the foundation for collaborative excellence at the onset of their academic journey. Facilitated by 35 experts, the intensive 2-hour session aimed to immerse students in the fundamental principles of IPE. Beyond role recognition, the activity emphasized crucial aspects such as teamwork, effective communication, and decision-making. It underscored the equal significance of each team member’s role while fostering synergies among health professions and nurturing culturally sensitive communication.
This event reflects QU’s commitment to holistic and collaborative healthcare education, preparing students for interprofessional collaboration in their future roles.
