Katara to build new resort on Katara Hills
Doha, The Gulf Observer: The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) has announced the details of the new tourism project Katara Hills LXR Hotels & Resorts. The announcement took place yesterday, August 28, during a press conference held at the Katara Hall 32.
During the meeting, an agreement was signed between Katara, represented by the General Manager of Katara, Professor Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti and Estithmar Holding represented by Henrik Christiansen, CEO of Estithmar Holding, in the presence of Ramez Al-Khayyat, Vice Chairman of Estithmar Holding.
Dr. Al Sulaiti during the signing ceremony said: “This project, which is integrated with the rest of Katara’s sustainable cultural and tourism projects, is considered one of the advanced tourism projects, which keeps pace with what the country is witnessing from massive achievements and tireless efforts to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
He pointed out that the new tourism project will provide Katara visitors with a luxurious hospitality facility in harmony with the green surroundings of Katara Hills, in addition to providing guests with the opportunity to enjoy the various cultural, artistic, heritage and sports activities that Katara hosts throughout the year, which enhances the concept of sustainable cultural tourism.
Christiansen expressed his happiness about how the new project will contribute to enhancing the tourism scene in Qatar, explaining that the Katara Hills LXR Hotels & Resorts project is distinguished by its design, blending the beautiful landscapes of Katara with modern architecture.
The Katara Hills LXR Hotels & Resorts project includes 15 luxury villas, each with a private pool, in a special place above the Katara Hills to give it distinctive and enchanting views of the green nature and Katara Beach. The new project provides an opportunity to enjoy a quiet stay amidst the vast green areas distributed along the Katara Hills, in addition to enjoying all the luxury elements provided by the facilities of the Katara Hills project, starting from the spa to the luxurious restaurant, in addition to providing a special service team for guests.
