Qatar’s Prime Minister Receives Call from Blinken

Doha, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, held a phone conversation today with the U.S. Secretary of State, His Excellency Antony Blinken, to discuss the strategic relations between Qatar and the United States and explore ways to strengthen them further.

During the call, both officials focused on recent developments in the Middle East, particularly the ongoing crisis in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories. The discussion also covered the joint mediation efforts aimed at ending the war in Gaza, as well as initiatives to reduce escalation in Lebanon.

In addition to these pressing regional issues, Sheikh Mohammed and Secretary Blinken exchanged views on a range of topics of mutual interest, underscoring the shared commitment of both nations to fostering stability and peace in the region.
