Saudi Aid Agency KSrelief Continues Vital Health Initiatives Worldwide

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian aid agency, KSrelief, remains steadfast in its global health assistance efforts, delivering essential aid packages and conducting critical medical procedures across various regions.

In Yemen’s Taiz governorate, KSrelief’s Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center Project has significantly impacted 406 individuals who have suffered limb loss. According to the Saudi Press Agency’s latest report, the project has provided a total of 1,475 services, with 67% benefiting males and 33% females. Notably, 11% of recipients were displaced persons, while the remaining 89% were residents. Services encompassed the delivery, measurement, and maintenance of prosthetic limbs, alongside crucial physical therapy and specialized consultations.

This initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment, through KSrelief, to bolstering Yemen’s health sector and alleviating the hardships faced by its people.

In Turkiye, KSrelief’s Sama’a Volunteer Program for Cochlear Implantation and Hearing Rehabilitation recently concluded its mission to aid earthquake victims in Reyhanli. Additionally, KSrelief distributed 2,000 healthcare kits to Syrian refugees affected by the earthquake in the Islahiye camp near Gaziantep. The program, operational from June 30 to July 7, included cochlear implants and auditory rehabilitation therapy sessions for 84 children, provided by a dedicated volunteer medical team.

Meanwhile, in Mogadishu, Somalia, KSrelief’s dialysis center at Banadir Hospital treated 348 patients in May. Of these, 163 received 1,051 scheduled hemodialysis sessions, with an additional 12 emergency sessions conducted. Outpatient clinic services and medical examinations were also extended to 177 patients, reflecting KSrelief’s comprehensive healthcare support to the community.

These initiatives highlight Saudi Arabia’s proactive role in global humanitarian efforts through KSrelief, enhancing healthcare capabilities and improving the lives of vulnerable populations worldwide.
