Saudi and U.S. Energy Ministers Discuss Enhanced Cooperation During Visit to KAPSARC

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, met on Saturday with U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright and his accompanying delegation at the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) in Riyadh, as part of Secretary Wright’s official visit to the Kingdom.
During the visit, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on KAPSARC’s wide-ranging contributions to global energy policy research, including its work in energy transition, climate change mitigation, sustainable transportation, and strategic advisory services. The center’s role in shaping data-driven policymaking through advanced analytical models and decision-support tools was also highlighted.
Discussions between the two ministers focused on exploring avenues for enhanced bilateral cooperation in energy research and innovation. Both sides emphasized the importance of joint studies, capacity building, and knowledge exchange to address shared challenges in the evolving global energy landscape.
