Saudi Arabia Highlights Commitment to Multilateral Cooperation
Brasilia, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Finance, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, has reaffirmed the Kingdom’s dedication to fostering multilateral cooperation to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), leveraging its influential role within the G20.
Speaking to the Saudi Press Agency on the eve of the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Brazil, Al-Jadaan emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to bolstering global economic stability and addressing shared challenges, particularly those faced by developing and low-income nations.
The minister highlighted the Kingdom’s intention to draw on the collective expertise of G20 nations, which represent the world’s leading economies, to advance solutions in various domains. He also underlined Saudi Arabia’s efforts to share its experiences of rapid economic transformation under Vision 2030 with member nations striving for sustainable development and economic diversification.
Al-Jadaan praised Brazil’s G20 presidency for its effective leadership under the theme “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet.” He noted that the presidency’s priorities—addressing hunger and poverty, reforming global governance, and promoting sustainable development across economic, social, and environmental spheres—align with the Kingdom’s vision of advancing multilateralism, ensuring food security, and fostering global prosperity.
He further stressed that Saudi Arabia’s active engagement in the G20 underscores its growing regional and global influence. The Kingdom, recognized as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, is committed to solidifying its pivotal role in the international economic and financial landscape through meaningful participation in global forums.
