Saudi Arabia Launches Grace Period for Final Exit of Expired Visit Visa Holders

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has officially commenced the implementation of a new initiative permitting the extension of all types of expired visit visas for the purpose of final departure from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The grace period began on 1 Muharram 1447 AH, corresponding to June 26, 2025, and grants eligible individuals a window of 30 days to regularize their residency status. During this period, visa holders must settle any applicable fees and penalties to facilitate their exit procedures from the Kingdom.

This initiative applies regardless of visa category or designation and is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to support residents in complying with immigration regulations in a flexible and humane manner.

Beneficiaries can avail themselves of the service via the “Tawasul” feature on the Ministry of Interior’s “Absher” electronic platform.

Jawazat has urged all eligible individuals to take prompt action and benefit from this limited-time opportunity before the expiration of the deadline. Failure to comply within the specified period may result in additional legal and administrative consequences.
