Saudi Arabia Strongly Condemns Israeli Occupation of Gaza, Calls for Immediate International Action

Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, August 8, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has issued a forceful condemnation of the Israeli occupation of the Gaza Strip, denouncing what it described as systematic acts of starvation, brutality, and ethnic cleansing targeting the Palestinian people.

In a statement released on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s deep concern and outrage, stating: “The inhumane ideas and decisions adopted by the Israeli occupation authorities without deterrence once again confirm their disregard for the deep emotional, historical, and legal connection of the Palestinian people to this land, and for their rightful claim to it in accordance with international laws and humanitarian principles.”

The statement further warned that the persistent inability of the international community and the United Nations Security Council to halt the ongoing Israeli aggression and violations could erode the foundations of the international legal order, jeopardize regional and global peace and security, and risk catastrophic consequences, including the emboldening of genocide and forced displacement.

Saudi Arabia stressed that the gravity and continuity of these crimes necessitate urgent, decisive, and firm international action. The Kingdom reiterated its longstanding position supporting the two-state solution and called for immediate efforts toward the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions.
