Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia’s naval forces proudly received “His Majesty the King’s Ship Hail” at the prestigious King Faisal Naval Base, the headquarters of the Western Fleet, as announced by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense.

An official reception ceremony marked the ship’s arrival from its manufacturing headquarters in Spain, with Vice Admiral Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Ghofaily, the commander of the naval forces, gracing the occasion.

Vice Admiral Al-Ghofaily, accompanied by dignitaries, boarded the ship upon its arrival, undertaking a comprehensive tour of its sections and inspecting its cutting-edge equipment and advanced technologies. He concluded the visit by signing the ship’s logbook, symbolizing the formal induction into Saudi Arabia’s esteemed naval fleet.

During interactions with the ship’s commander and crew, Vice Admiral Al-Ghofaily commended their dedication and professionalism throughout the training phases in Spain. He expressed confidence in the capabilities of the naval forces, emphasizing their pivotal role in safeguarding the Kingdom’s vital strategic interests and confronting regional challenges and threats effectively.

Vice Admiral Al-Ghofaily conveyed appreciation for the unwavering support extended to the armed forces by King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Minister of Defense.

“His Majesty the King’s Ship Hail” marks the third vessel of the Sarawat Project, a strategic initiative aimed at constructing and deploying five naval vessels equipped with specialized capabilities to execute diverse combat missions with precision and efficiency.

The addition of “His Majesty the King’s Ship Hail” to Saudi Arabia’s naval fleet underscores the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to enhancing its defense capabilities and ensuring the security and stability of the region.
