Saudi Arabia Welcomes Rwanda–DR Congo Peace Agreement Brokered by U.S.

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has welcomed the signing of the peace agreement between the Republic of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), facilitated by the United States of America.
In an official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom expressed its sincere hope that the agreement will meet the aspirations of the peoples of both nations for peace, development, and prosperity. The ministry further emphasized that the deal holds promise for enhancing both regional and international security and stability.
Saudi Arabia commended the diplomatic efforts and constructive roles played by the United States and the State of Qatar in facilitating the peace accord, recognizing their contributions to fostering dialogue and reconciliation between the two African neighbors.
The historic agreement was signed on Friday in Washington, D.C., under the auspices of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The accord was signed by Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner, Foreign Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Olivier Nduhungirehe, Foreign Minister of Rwanda.
The Kingdom reaffirmed its consistent support for all efforts aimed at resolving conflicts through peaceful means and strengthening international cooperation for lasting peace and development.
