Saudi Arabian Delegation Led by Attorney General Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib Visits Samarkand
Samarkand, The Gulf Observer: A high-level delegation led by the Attorney General of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib, arrived in Samarkand on a visit to Uzbekistan, invited by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The delegation was welcomed by responsible officials of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office at the Samarkand Railway Station.
The visit included a tour of significant cultural and historical sites in Samarkand, including the burial place of the renowned Hadith scholar Imam Bukhari. The delegation was briefed on the ongoing reconstruction project at the site and expressed their desire to return next year once the construction is completed.
The delegation also visited the Afrasiab Museum, where they watched a video presentation detailing the history of Samarkand, the formation of Afrasiab, and the museum’s exhibits.
Additionally, the visitors explored Registan Square, a symbol of the intellectual heritage of Samarkand, and received insights into its historical significance and the construction of its madrasahs.
The delegation’s itinerary also included a visit to Samarkand-Bukhoro Ipak Gilami LLC, where they learned about the company’s products and operations, further strengthening ties between the two nations.
