Saudi Cabinet Reaffirms $600 Billion Investment Commitment with U.S., Reviews Key Regional and Domestic Developments

Jeddah, The Gulf Observer: The Council of Ministers of Saudi Arabia, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to expanding its strategic investment and trade ties with the United States, allocating more than $600 billion over the next four years.

In its weekly session held in Jeddah, the Cabinet highlighted the significance of over $300 billion in deals and mutual investments announced at the Saudi-US Investment Forum held on May 13 during U.S. President Donald Trump’s official visit to the Kingdom.

At the outset, King Salman expressed gratitude to President Trump for accepting the invitation to visit Saudi Arabia and hailed the fruitful discussions with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. These talks, the King noted, are poised to elevate bilateral ties to unprecedented levels, enhancing integration across vital economic and strategic sectors.

The Cabinet reviewed the outcomes of the Saudi-US Summit, particularly the signing of a Strategic Economic Partnership, along with a series of agreements and memoranda of understanding across multiple domains.

Acting Minister of Media Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), commended the comprehensive address delivered by the Crown Prince at the GCC-USA Summit, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s dedication to regional cooperation, economic prosperity, and peaceful resolution of global crises.

The Cabinet also welcomed President Trump’s positive response to the Crown Prince’s efforts to lift sanctions on Syria, expressing optimism that the move would contribute to Syria’s reconstruction and stability.

Reaffirming its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, the Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom’s stance, declared at the 34th Arab League Summit, against forced displacement and imposed political solutions. It stressed the importance of maintaining the Gaza ceasefire and pursuing a just resolution aligned with Palestinian aspirations.

The Cabinet lauded KSrelief on its 10th anniversary for its humanitarian outreach to over 100 countries, and recognized the domestic strides made under the National Industrial Strategy, including the successful attraction of three global automotive giants to set up factories in the Kingdom.

In the education sector, the Cabinet applauded Saudi students for their outstanding performance at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025), underscoring the state’s commitment to nurturing innovation and academic excellence.

Among key approvals, the Cabinet endorsed the formation of a supervisory body for health services within the Ministry of Defense and adopted new regulations for scrap sites to prevent the infiltration of radioactive materials.

The Council approved and authorized multiple bilateral memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and cooperation agreements, including:

  • A Saudi-Japan Strategic Partnership Council;
  • Cooperation in ICT with Uzbekistan;
  • Civil aviation safety collaboration with Russia;
  • Mineral wealth cooperation with Kazakhstan and India;
  • A junior professional staff program with the International Labor Organization (ILO);
  • A health sector cooperation MoU with Singapore;
  • And a security agreement with Somalia focused on counterterrorism and financing.

The decisions reflect Saudi Arabia’s growing global engagement and strategic diversification across key sectors, as the Kingdom advances its Vision 2030 objectives.
